We just watched Philippine Treasures last Sunday night.(It's been a while)It's a documentary about ancient things used by our ancestors millions .. even billions of years ago that was found in the Philippines.I'm quite disappointed that some of those artifacts are being exhibited in a museum in Chicago,U.S.A. I know it's for the better so it can be preserved fully .. but it's just not the same where we can personally see it in the country it belongs to.It's just that the government doesnt have a budget for these kinds of issues.Yeah I know the country has a lot of problems right now but they should at least fund a group that will preserve and promote our museums, not just to tourists but to the average commoners as well.I honestly didnt know a national museum exists until Philippine Treasures aired and its been added to my Travel Plans list.I sometimes think, what is it like to be part of a team who finds fascinating artifacts that can be added to the culture of our ancestors or could change the theories about HiStory. That would be an honor! Its like treasure hunting at the same time learning different cultures. Its like time traveling which I had always wanted to do at the same time helping to nourish our history with those "missing link".I guess thats the job of an Archeologist.I think some characteristics of an archeologist matches me.I really think Archeology is my path .. I dont know.I've been interested in history since, like,i was in 3rd grade.I was even a gold and bronze medalist of a history quiz bee.
(not to brag about it but to prove that I'm really in love with history)
Hmmm....Theres still a lot of time to think it over. All i can say is I'm really proud to be part of a country with culture & history so rich that no other country can take it away..
